Description

Peanut oil is an excellent source of vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant. This powerful micronutrient can improve immune function and help protect against heart disease, cancer, eye problems, and dementia. It is also rich in both mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are beneficial for health.

Health benefits:

  • Contains vitamins, micronutrients, and amino acids that can prevent nervous system disorders and improve sleep. It is rich in choline, which is involved in the synthesis of lecithin—a building block for brain cells and nerve fibers. Choline also plays a crucial role in synthesizing acetylcholine, which is responsible for memory, attention, reaction to stimuli, muscle coordination, and orientation. Therefore, peanut oil greatly contributes to improving productivity and has a calming effect on the nerves. It is helpful for fatigue, insomnia, irritability, apathy, and depression. Regular consumption of peanut oil can help prevent Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis;
  • As a dietary product, it lowers cholesterol and is beneficial for cardiovascular diseases. Betaine aids in the quick absorption of proteins and improves liver function. Omega-6 linoleic acid boosts metabolism and improves digestion. This natural product also has choleretic properties, strengthens joints, and improves digestive tract function;
  • Peanut oil is beneficial for dry skin, eczema, and diaper rash, soothing and softening the skin of children or the elderly. For dandruff or cracked skin, it helps relieve itching and soften flakes (do not use on severely inflamed or red skin);
  • Due to its high content of easily digestible plant proteins and fats, peanut oil is a valuable dietary product and has long been successfully used as a component of vegetarian diets. It provides energy, quickly creates a feeling of fullness, and is often included in the diets of fashion models who want to lose weight.

Regular consumption of peanut oil can provide significant benefits:

  • For eye diseases: reduces the risk of developing glaucoma, cataracts, retinopathy, conjunctivitis, macular degeneration, and night blindness;
  • For kidney diseases;
  • For decreased libido and potency, and erectile dysfunction;
  • In the prevention of osteoporosis.

Use in cosmetics: Peanut oil is an excellent source of substances that positively affect the skin, nails, and hair, giving it excellent cosmetic properties. Being well-absorbed, peanut oil doesn’t leave a greasy feeling, and it nourishes, softens, and moisturizes the skin. Thanks to its components that stimulate collagen synthesis, unrefined oil, when used regularly, gives the skin firmness and elasticity. The oil, rich in natural antioxidants, restores the protective functions of the epidermis and prevents skin aging caused by UV radiation or hormonal imbalances. Due to these properties, peanut oil is used in cosmetics as:

  • An ingredient in personal care products: its mild fragrance makes it a popular ingredient in shampoos and soaps;
  • A base oil in various products for flaky, sensitive, or dry skin (balms, lotions, creams);
  • A product for children's skin care;
  • A restorative and nourishing ingredient in masks for colored or damaged hair.

How to use: The oil has a pronounced peanut flavor and adds aromatic accents to dishes. Peanut oil pairs well with fresh salads (including fruit) and baked goods. Try adding a few drops to buns, croissants, cookies, or sandwiches to give them a richer taste and aroma. It’s suitable for making homemade mayonnaise and other sauces (Bolognese, Madras). It can be used to enhance the sweetness of dishes where appropriate. Gourmet lovers and those who appreciate a mix of flavors will enjoy peanut oil with fish dishes, seafood, and blue cheese. Peanut oil is one of the few oils that can withstand high frying temperatures.

  • For prevention: take 1 tsp daily, 15-20 minutes before meals, for 6-8 weeks;
  • For treatment (wounds, herpes, eczema): apply 2-3 times a day until full recovery;
  • Vegetable fats can suppress hunger for a long time, preventing overeating. The protein in peanut oil also helps with weight loss. To avoid the opposite effect, no more than 50g should be consumed daily.
  • Peanut oil can be added to ready-made products: creams, masks, balms, shampoos. It can also be used in compresses and applications.

Contraindications: Peanut oil should not be used by people with allergic reactions. It is also not recommended for those with arthritis, hemophilia, gout, bronchial asthma, or osteoarthritis.
